Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Purpose: Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring all Electrical systems within the data center is healthy and available at maximum efficiency.This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to Alrms/Faults.The Technician serves as an expert technical resource, reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain as per the requirement. This equipment includes MV & LV switchgear,UPS s, Batteries, Lighting system,earthing & Lightning protection system , control panels. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on major data center equipment. • Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment and keeping daily logs/ records of all maintenance functions. • Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of electrical equipment. • Perform preventive maintenance, repair work and minor modification works for electrical and ELV systems. • Maintain, operate all electrical systems and associated equipment, building management system, etc... • Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations • Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Create the Job cards in CAFM Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards that the Engineer assigns. • Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls. • Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken. • Review and understand equipment and methods of operation for Electrical systems, ELV system and fire/life safety systems.
