Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities) 1. Support and satisfy the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of Company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. 2. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. 3. Ensure that full assessment of the inherent risks associated with all offshore construction activities is taken and that the necessary measures and steps are taken to eliminate or mitigate such risks prior to implementation phases. 4. Take the lead in the offshore workpack reviews ensuring that safety and constructability issues are given full consideration and ensure the quality of content of work packs; advising on the the supervision, manpower and equipment requirements (both contract and offshore resource) for each work package and ensure these are notified in good time to the onshore support team. 5. Ensures quality of work through adherence to standards and procedures and sound technical work practices. 6. Liaise with the onshore engineering and planning team to develop accurate and realistic implementation and resourcing schedules for inclusion in Inter Departmental Comment workpacks. 7. Provide daily/weekly progress updates or technical reports as required by management. Manage in conjunction with the planning group accurate planning to guarantee adequate skills and resources are in place at all times to ensure that Business objectives are achieved. 9. Work closely with the Logistics/ Operations teams to facilitate the mobilisation/de-mobilisation of the necessary manpower, materials and equipment in an efficient manner. 10. Supervise and co-ordinate Campaign Maintenance activities as required (refurbishment/ painting programs etc) 11. Ensure that the Offshore Operations personnel are fully informed, and engaged with, all planned and ongoing construction operations. 12. Supervise all offshore implementation activities providing the necessary, guidance and support to subordinates. If required, take the necessary corrective action. 13. Ensure the compilation of all construction related offshore generated documentation and its timely transmittal onshore/ offshore and close out actvity. 14. Responsible for the management of the rigging loft including all certification (Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for management of cranes including all certification). 15. Continually review all aspects of offshore construction activities with a view to improvement in performance. 16. Participate in and promote Company STAR safety program. 17. Is a member of the offshore Incident Management team (IMT) as required. 18. Provide instruction and guidance in the co-ordination of multi-activity/ discipline project, campaign and fabric maintenance work scopes. 19. Plan, evaluate and delegate responsibility while retaining accountability during project phases. 20. Contribute to personnel selection and performance appraisal. Conduct regular assessments of contractor performance to continually maintain and improve the individual & overall team efficiencies to delver value for money to the company. 21.
