Contract: Location: Lulea, Sweden Working arrangement: Freelance Contract: 12+ months Rate: Negotiable (based on experience), accommodation provided Mobilisation: Immediate Rotation: 3 weeks on, 1 week remote Job Title: Construction Manager Overview: Seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee all phases of a large-scale industrial project, including earthworks, civil works, steel structures, mechanical/electrical/automation assembly, and commissioning. You will work closely with the client to manage contractors, ensure compliance with project requirements, and address technical, contractual, and schedule issues. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate PMC Construction Team to ensure timely, compliant contractor work. Oversee quality, schedule, cost, risk, and safety during construction. Collaborate with client and logistics teams to manage equipment erection. Maintain strong relationships with client and contractors to resolve issues. Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and technical requirements. Manage technical documentation and reporting on progress and risks. Support planning, scheduling, and corrective action implementation. Lead project/contract review meetings and track assigned tasks. Requirements: Engineering degree with 15+ years in construction management (Oil & Gas, Mining, Steel, Infrastructure, or similar). Proven experience on large, complex projects and EPC/PMC/EPCM contracts. Skilled in quality control, risk management, cost control, and contract administration. Strong commercial and technical understanding; able to manage multicultural teams under pressure. Proficient in MS Office, Primavera, Aconex; fluent in English. Willing to commute to northern Sweden 3 weeks/month.
