Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrumentation Section Head to join its Singapore business unit focusing on providing technical leadership to reduce process safety risks for a major onshore brownfield project in Basra, Iraq on rotational assignment 4/4 weeks. This is a full-time onsite position in Basra, Iraq, with travel requirement. Reports to: Maintenance Department Manager Skills: Excellent communications (oral & written) in English Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment Previous experience working in harsh environments Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities Advanced understanding of Controls Integrity Management System (CIMS), safety management tools, Production Operations Best Practices (POBP), WP&B, Operated by Others (OBO) processes Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures Good management /supervisory, interpersonal and motivation skills Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes (Step back 5x5, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment, Root cause analysis) Advanced understanding of Instrumentation international standards Advanced knowledge in testing, installation, and maintaining equipment that automates the processes that monitor and control. instrumentation that monitors and controls temperatures, pressures, flow, vibration, and other operational indicators to identify or remediate equipment malfunctions Experience in Fiscal metering, flow computers, DCS, Delta V systems, Siemens, Schnieder control software. Experience and knowledge of pressure control regulators, control valves and PSV Advanced understanding of Safety of equipment EX and IS Experience in Installation and maintenance of Instrumentation equipment Understanding of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications Understanding of Project regulations Systems: DCS and HMI Flow, pressure, temperature, vibration monitoring equipment and systems Acconex Maximo
