Job Description Roles & Responsibilities A DCS & Instrumentation Engineer with a strong background in ABB DCS (e.g., ABB 800xA, Freelance) and SCADA systems for sewage treatment plant (STP) operations. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for process control, instrumentation asset reliability, and industrial communications, with a particular focus on maintaining the health of Profibus (DP/PA) networks. The engineer must have experience working in corrosive, H₂S-prone STP environments, ensuring safety, compliance, continuous operations, and optimized plant performance. DCS / SCADA & Control Systems Administer, operate, and optimize ABB DCS, including control strategies, graphics, alarms, trends, historian tags, and backup/restore. Maintain and enhance SCADA interfaces, dashboards, and reporting for O&M and compliance KPIs. Develop, test, and implement logic modifications (loop tuning, interlocks, permissives, sequences) under strict MOC procedures. Manage alarm rationalization and limit settings to reduce nuisance alarms and improve operator effectiveness.
