Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Acts in a lead or support role to plan, build, implement & execute both in house or outsourced projects of medium to high capital value, complexity or risk profile in any of the plant & admin areas, to meet the requirements of time, cost and quality. Lead and support in the execution of various works under the Framework Agreement to support operations and projects. Support CAPEX team members in their role as required to carry out their tasks. Direct & Indirect Reports: Local contracting companies, consulting engineering firms & subordinates deputed from other departments during projects & other related works. Desired Candidate Profile 1. Analyze internal customer needs, formulate & evaluate alternative solutions to ensure those needs will be satisfied in the most appropriate and cost-effective way. 2. Leads multi-disciplinary projects team in the planning, implementation & delivery of projects to meet defined time line, costs and quality standards. 3. Acts as a support engineer on other projects, collaborating with members of the design and execution team to produce results which meets departmental expectations. 4. Acts as an approving authority for project documentation. 5. Direct, monitor and evaluate / inspect work of engineering contractors to ensure that EHS and quality standards are maintained or exceeded. 6. Attend safety walk downs, site Inspections, witness testing of equipments / plant, sign and clear test certificates and related activities. 7. Provide technical expertise to CAPEX, Engineering as well as Operations and Maintenance. 8. Provide input to team leaders and managers to ensure that the expenditure of departmental resources are planned and utilized effectively. 9. Support in departments improvement initiatives to ensure that these are implemented and applied in accordance with sound engineering principle. 10. Attend safety walk downs, site inspections, witness testing of equipments / plant, sign and clear test certificates and related activities. 11. Impart on job training & coaching to juniors / graduate / national trainees so as develop manpower for the benefit of the department & company. Authority & Decision Making: - 1. Being accountable for the cost and end results of the project. Shall be capable of optioneering, solution selection and implementing cost effective and reliable solutions to meet the company’s or customer requirements. 2. Capable of guiding a team of engineers, technicians, draughtsman, admin staff including contractor’s team members involved in the project execution, delivery and handover within time, quality, cost, scope etc. including the deliverables of Framework Agreement.
