Job Description: Power Plants & Oil and Gas Rehabilitation & Maintenance Project Manager Position Overview The Project Manager for Power Plants & Oil and Gas Rehabilitation & Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of rehabilitation, maintenance, and upgrade projects in power generation facilities (thermal, gas turbine) and oil & gas infrastructure (refineries, pipelines, gas compression stations, etc..). The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Execution  Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.  Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.  Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to project specifications.  Implement risk management strategies to mitigate delays, cost overruns, and technical challenges. 2. Maintenance, Rehabilitation & Overhaul Project Management  Lead preventive corrective maintenance programs for power plants and oil & gas facilities.  Manage equipment overhauls, retrofits, and system upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.  Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, OSHA, etc.) and regulatory requirements. 3. Budget & Cost Control  Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.  Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost-benefit analyses for stakeholders. 4. Safety & Compliance  Enforce strict HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace.  Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and emergency response planning.  Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, NERC, API, and other regulatory bodies. 5. Stakeholder & Team Management  Liaise with clients, government agencies, vendors, and internal teams to align project objectives.  Lead multidisciplinary teams (engineers, technicians, contractors) and provide technical guidance.  Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management and clients. Qualifications & Skills Education & Certifications  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical.  PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.  Certifications in HSE, NACE, API, or Six Sigma are a plus. Experience  Minimum 7-10 years in project management within power plants (thermal, gas turbines) or oil & gas (refineries, pipelines, gas compression stations).  Proven track record in maintenance, rehabilitation, and turnaround projects.  Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and ERP software. Technical & Soft Skills  Strong knowledge of turbines, boilers, compressors, pumps, pipelines, and electrical systems.  Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, SAP, or similar tools.  Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.  Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Work Environment  office-based with visits to power plant sites, refineries, customers.  Willingness to travel domestically/internationally as required.
