Job Summary: The Renewable Energy & Carbon Credit Projects Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of renewable energy projects and carbon credit initiatives. This role involves coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet sustainability goals, regulatory requirements, and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, carbon markets, and project management principles. Key Responsibilities: 1. Renewable Energy Project Coordination:  Assist in the planning, development, and execution of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, biomass, etc.).  Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analysis for proposed projects.  Liaise with engineers, contractors, government agencies, and utility providers.  Monitor project timelines, budgets, and compliance with environmental regulations.  Track and report on project performance, energy generation, and cost savings. 2. Carbon Credit Program Management:  Support the development of carbon offset projects (e.g., reforestation, methane capture, renewable energy credits).  Research carbon credit standards (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard, CDM) and ensure compliance.  Coordinate carbon footprint assessments and emissions reduction strategies.  Assist in carbon credit certification, monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV).  Manage relationships with carbon registries, auditors, and buyers. 3. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:  Collaborate with sustainability teams, finance, and operations to align projects with corporate ESG goals.  Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.  Engage with local communities, NGOs, and government bodies to ensure social and environmental benefits. 4. Market Research & Compliance:  Stay updated on renewable energy policies, carbon pricing mechanisms, and global climate agreements.  Analyze trends in carbon markets and renewable energy incentives (tax credits, RECs, etc.).  Ensure compliance with national and international sustainability regulations. Qualifications & Skills:  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.  Experience: o 2+ years in renewable energy project coordination, carbon markets, or sustainability. o Familiarity with carbon accounting methodologies and certification processes. o Project management experience (PMP or Agile certification a plus).  Technical Skills: o Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, GIS, energy modeling software). o Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and carbon offset protocols.  Soft Skills: o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. o Problem-solving and analytical thinking. Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s degree in a relevant field.  Experience with GHG accounting software (e.g., SimaPro, Carbon Footprint Manager).  Knowledge of corporate sustainability frameworks (e.g., SBTi, TCFD). Work Environment:  office-based, with occasional travel to project sites.  Collaborative team setting with cross-functional interactions.
