Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Provides full responsibility for engineering solutions, developing detailed designs and specifications. Reviews and approves deliverables from other HSE Engineers, ensuring quality control for all Technical Safety outputs. Supports task delegation and team supervision, while participating in audits and incident investigations. Ensures compliance with all project HSE policies and that designs meet Technical Safety requirements, keeping risks ALARP. Drives project completion to specification and schedule. Participates in and coordinates safety studies (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL) and manages third-party HSE consultants for workshops and engineering delivery. Prepares tender bid evaluations for safety equipment and participates in vendor meetings. Reviews third-party HSE studies (QRA, FERA, EERA) and performs Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling using tools like PHAST. Conducts Emergency Escape, Evacuation, and Rescue Studies. Leads Fire Protection engineering, including Fire Water system design, hydraulic modelling (PIPENET), Passive Fire Protection studies, and layout preparations. Actively maintains professional competence and stays current on regulatory changes and industry developments. Possesses expert knowledge of Technical Safety fundamentals across all project phases (FEED to Start-up) and experience directing Management of Change (MOC). Assists in manhour estimation for proposals and executes team development objectives. Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety in all activities.
